No-Fault Divorce

Irreconcilable Diff. (No-Fault) Divorce. The Chancery Court recognizes that there are many different forms available to those who wish to obtain a divorce without hiring an attorney. Unfortunately, many of those forms are poorly designed and do not meet the legal requirements necessary to obtain a divorce in Mississippi. In order to assist the citizens of this district, the Court has had forms prepared. Contact us for a copy. Every party to a divorce is strongly encouraged to seek the advice of an attorney in any divorce. If you do not exercise certain rights at the time of the divorce, your ability to bring them up later will generally not be allowed, and they will be lost forever. Only an attorney can adequately inform you of your rights. Further, although an attorney is not required, if there are children, the Court requires that a Guardian Ad Litem be appointed to insure that the best interests of the children are protected.
